Tania Gil

Tania Gil was born in Lisbon in 1981 and grew up in Porto Covo​,​ a small village on the Alentejo coast. As soon as she finishes her degree in industrial design at IADE (1999-2003) she goes in search of her childhood dream and enters the jewelry school Contacto Directo (2004-2009) where she discovers the vast and beautiful universe in this area. She currently divides her time between Lisbon​,​ the city where she works​,​ and the Alentejo coast where she finds peace and inspiration for her work. Her travels around the world are also a source of inspiration​,​ new cultures​,​ colors​,​ smells. She gets lost in time while observing​,​ photographing and collecting elements from Nature​,​ the main source of inspiration for her “jewelry” or “wearable objects” as she prefers to call it.
